Description

Sistema de la Coalición Ciudadana contra la Tortura de Bolivia is a European Union–funded project, implemented through Italian Cooperation, aimed at preventing torture and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment in Honduras and Bolivia. The project focuses on developing a standardized normative framework and a digital platform to codify, manage, analyze, and share reports related to torture, while strengthening transparency, accountability, and access to information. Implemented as two country-specific sub-projects, the initiative supports the follow-up of United Nations recommendations through public information tools and secure, private monitoring systems for human rights indicators. The platforms are designed to improve institutional coordination, enable structured data collection, support reporting and analysis, and strengthen the capacity of local actors to prevent human rights violations through validated norms, training, and sustainable digital infrastructure.

The solution

Transparency

A digital platforms for tracking and analyzing cases strengthens accountability and reporting, enabling local operators to monitor progress in real time and improve prevention and response mechanisms against torture and cruel treatment.
